Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table with a dominant 5-0 victory over Chelsea, as both Kai Havertz and Ben White netted twice. Liverpool will have an opportunity to level the points with Arsenal if they win against Everton on Wednesday, while Manchester City, trailing Arsenal by four points, will aim to narrow the gap with two games in hand.
The scoring opened early with Leandro Trossard finding the net within five minutes, capitalizing on a run from Declan Rice. Arsenal threatened further in the first half, with Bukayo Saka and Havertz coming close, while Trossard was denied a second goal by an impressive save from Djordje Petrovic.
After a balanced first half, Arsenal dominated the second period. White doubled the lead from close range before Havertz scored against his former team, assisted by Martin Odegaard. Havertz added his second with a low strike off the inside of the post, followed by White’s superb volley, courtesy of a delightful ball from Odegaard.
Chelsea looked vulnerable throughout the match, especially at the back, as Arsenal capitalized on their chances to secure a convincing victory.
