Southampton secured a 1-0 victory over Leeds United in the Sky Bet Championship playoff final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, marking their prompt return to the Premier League after last season’s relegation.
Adam Armstrong netted the crucial goal for Southampton in the 24th minute, sealing their promotion. Joe Aribo featured for the entire 90 minutes of the closely fought match.
During the 2023/24 season, the 27-year-old Aribo scored four goals in 38 league appearances.
Previously, Leicester City and Ipswich Town had also secured promotion to the English top-flight.
