Kano Deputy Governor Apologises To NSA Ribadu

Kano’s Deputy Governor, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, issued an apology to the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, for mistakenly implicating him in the situation regarding the return of the dethroned Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero.

Gwarzo expressed regret for alleging that Ribadu facilitated Bayero’s return by providing private jets and security.

During a press conference at the Government House in Kano on Monday morning, Gwarzo acknowledged the error and apologized to Ribadu and his office for any inconvenience caused.

He clarified that the government had been misled into making the allegation and emphasized Ribadu’s integrity, stating that Ribadu would not deny his involvement if it were true.

Gwarzo assured Ribadu of continued support and cooperation, expressing regret for the misunderstanding. He also called on President Bola Tinubu to investigate the situation in Kano to ensure peace.
