Records follow me – Cristiano Ronaldo reacts after making history in Saudi Pro League

Al-Nassr’s captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, responded after achieving a record for the most goals in a Saudi Pro League season. Ronaldo, the Portugal international, accomplished this feat with a brace during his team’s 4-2 victory against Al-Ittihad at home in their final league match of the season.

In the game, Ronaldo scored the opening goal in the third minute of first-half stoppage time and added another midway through the second half. His teammate Abdulrahman Ghareeb contributed a third goal before Al-Ittihad managed to pull back two goals.

Nevertheless, Al-Nassr secured the victory with a late goal from Meshari Al-Nemer, concluding their league campaign on a winning note.

Ronaldo took to Instagram to share his thoughts, stating, “I don’t follow the records, the records follow me.”

With his brace, Ronaldo’s goal tally for the Saudi League season reached 35, surpassing the previous record of 34 goals set by Abderrazak Hamdallah in the 2018–19 season.
