Ebonyi govt to host Maiden Edition of investment summit

The Ebonyi State government has announced its plans to elevate the upcoming Maiden Edition of the state’s Investment Summit to an international business round table featuring prominent figures from the investment sector globally.

During a meeting held at the state Ministry of Trade and Investment in Ochudo Centenary City, Abakaliki, Mr. Henry Awuregu, the Co-chairman of the Central Planning Committee, emphasized the intensified efforts to attract renowned investors worldwide to participate in the summit and consider investing in the state. Awuregu clarified that the event aims to gather distinguished personalities from various fields of investment, emphasizing its focus on business rather than politics.

Additionally, he revealed plans to present an Investment Compendium to showcase the state’s investment potentials to the attending investors. Dr. Emma Nwafor, the Director-General of Salt City Chambers of Commerce, and Mr. Joel Ebenyi, the Secretary of the committee, expressed optimism that the summit would transform the investment landscape in Ebonyi State by highlighting its comparative advantages and attracting genuine investors.

Other attendees, including Mr. Victor Olughu and Mrs. Ernestina Ogba, urged the sub-committees to work diligently to ensure the summit’s success. The meeting drew participation from key stakeholders in the investment sector.
