Nigeria’s Federal Government has announced Wednesday, June 12, as a public holiday to celebrate Democracy Day.
Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the announcement, congratulating Nigerians on the occasion. He encouraged citizens to reflect on the efforts of the founding fathers and to maintain Nigeria as a united, secure, peaceful, and indivisible nation.
Tunji-Ojo emphasized the president’s commitment to economic reforms and enhanced security.
He urged Nigerians and friends of the country to acknowledge the progress made and anticipate a brighter future for Nigeria’s democracy.
