Nigeria’s leading payment service bank, Moneymaster Payment Service Bank Limited (MMPSB), will participate in this year’s Ojude Oba Festival in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.
The annual Ojude Oba festival, held on the third day of Eid al-Kabir, features various cultural age groups parading to honor the Awujale of Ijebuland. In anticipation of the festival, Moneymaster has launched a month-long market activation campaign to onboard Ijebuland residents to its digital banking platform, the mobile wallet. The mobile wallet allows customers to transfer funds, withdraw from an agent, buy airtime, and pay utility bills.
During this activation, new account holders in Ijebuland can win free airtime and other gifts. Moneymaster emphasized that achieving a cashless economy is possible if more Nigerians adopt mobile wallets, facilitating easier savings and payments.
“While celebrating with the people of Ijebuland, we also want to showcase Moneymaster’s mobile wallet, which offers seamless banking from phones,” the statement said.
Licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and insured by the NDIC, Moneymaster promotes financial inclusion as part of the Nigerian financial literacy initiative led by the CBN. With Moneymaster, Nigerians can open mobile wallets, savings accounts, and business accounts to make payments, buy airtime, and pay bills to over 4,000 companies.
Recently, Moneymaster was appointed as a payment partner for the Ounje Eko initiative by the Lagos State government to provide discounted food items amid rising food costs. Moneymaster aims to support individuals and businesses by offering tailored financial services to help them achieve financial prosperity.
