Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin has been officially crowned as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The coronation took place at the Labosinde compound, which holds the traditional right to crown any Olubadan of Ibadanland, on Friday.
Following the crowning, the new Olubadan proceeded to Ile Osemeji in the Oja Oba area. Ile Osemeji is a significant location where the future of Ibadan is traditionally foretold.
Our correspondent on-site reports that the new Olubadan is currently at Ile Osemeji.
After this, the new Olubadan is set to move to the frontage of Mapo Hall. There, he will receive the staff of office and other official instruments from the state governor, Seyi Makinde, which is expected to happen soon.
