Manchester City and Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement for the transfer of Julian Alvarez, valued at up to £81 million (€95 million).
Negotiations between the clubs intensified over the weekend, culminating in a deal within the last 24 hours. Atletico Madrid confirmed Alvarez’s desire to join them and subsequently submitted multiple offers.
The agreed terms involve Atletico paying £64 million (€75 million) upfront, with an additional £17 million (€20 million) in potential add-ons.
This transfer will be a record sale for Manchester City and represents a significant profit, as they originally purchased the Argentina forward from River Plate for £14 million in January 2022.
