Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has reappointed three commissioners who were recently dismissed, assigning them new roles as special advisers just hours after their removal.
The reappointed officials are Abubakar Abdulhameed Bununu, who will serve as Special Adviser on Multilateral Coordination and Regional Integration; Usman Danturaki, who will take on the role of Special Adviser on Labour Matters and the Contributory Pension Scheme; and Professor Simon Madugu Yalams, who will become Special Adviser on Technical and Vocational Education.
The new appointments were announced in a statement from the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, on Tuesday.
Gidado emphasized that these appointments are part of Governor Mohammed’s broader strategy to ensure effective leadership, promote inclusivity, and achieve the administration’s developmental objectives.
The governor urged the appointees to draw on their experience and expertise to contribute meaningfully to the progress of Bauchi State. He also emphasized the importance of performing their duties with diligence, transparency, and renewed commitment to improving the lives of the people of Bauchi.
