Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has claimed that he has received numerous death threats following comments he made about Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), during the 2023 election. Morka shared this during an appearance on Arise Television on Wednesday.
He stated that he has received over 400 threats, with at least 200 of them explicitly threatening his life.
According to Morka, these threats were prompted by Obi’s accusation that Morka’s previous remarks during an interview posed a threat to Obi’s life.
Morka explained, “Peter Obi’s claims that my words during the interview threatened his life have led to serious repercussions.” He added that he has documented these threats, which include chilling details such as threats to shoot, behead, and harm him in other violent ways. He intends to submit these written threats to law enforcement.

In the interview, Morka had stated that Obi “has crossed the line many times” and added, “whatever he has coming to him, he should manage it.” In response, Obi claimed that since Morka’s comment, he had been receiving threats against himself and those close to him.
However, Morka clarified that his statement was in direct response to accusations that Obi was being labeled a “voodoo economist” and “prophet of doom.”
