Stelling warns Chelsea against signing Man Utd star.

Former Sky Sports presenter Jeff Stelling has cautioned Chelsea against pursuing a move for Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United, suggesting the winger wouldn’t be a good fit for the club.

Stelling argued that the Argentina international is the “last thing” Chelsea needs at the moment.

Chelsea has been linked with an unexpected transfer for the 20-year-old winger during the January transfer window, especially after Garnacho’s fall from favor under United’s new manager, Ruben Amorim. Garnacho was even left out of Manchester United’s squad for their recent Premier League derby against Manchester City.

However, Stelling believes that Chelsea already has an abundance of attacking players, including Pedro Neto, Jadon Sancho, Joao Felix, Noni Madueke, and Mykhailo Mudryk. Speaking on talkSPORT, he said, “There’s a story going around in one or two of the papers this morning… It comes from Fabrizio Romano, who is usually reliable with transfers. It’s about Alejandro Garnacho possibly going to Chelsea. With Neto, Madueke, Sancho… surely a Garnacho is the last thing Chelsea need.”

Since making his debut for Manchester United in 2022, Garnacho has scored 23 goals in 118 appearances for the club.
