Senator Ali Ndume, representing Borno South, has openly criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration, alleging that it is dominated by “kleptocrats” and “kakistocrats”—terms referring to corrupt and unqualified individuals in positions of power. Ndume, a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), expressed concerns that such leadership could hinder the country’s progress and jeopardize Tinubu’s prospects for re-election in 2027.
In a recent interview, Ndume highlighted issues such as economic hardship, food scarcity, and inflation, attributing them to poor governance and lack of access to the president by key stakeholders. He emphasized that while President Tinubu may have good intentions, the surrounding officials are not aligned with the vision of renewed hope for Nigeria.
