The 2025 BET Awards are set to air live on June 9 from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, marking the 25th anniversary of the ceremony. Comedian Kevin Hart will host the event, bringing his dynamic entertainment background to what is being called “culture’s biggest night”.
Leading the nominations is Kendrick Lamar with ten nods, including Album of the Year for “GNX” and multiple recognitions for his track “Not Like Us.” Following him are Doechii, Drake, Future, and GloRilla with six nominations each.
A highlight of the evening will be the reunion of former “106 & Park” hosts AJ Calloway, Free, Julissa Bermudez, Keshia Chanté, Rocsi Diaz, and Terrence J. The tribute will feature performances by Bow Wow, Amerie, B2K, Mya, T.I., and others.
In addition to music, the awards will honor achievements in acting and sports, with nominees including Denzel Washington, Zendaya, Sterling K. Brown, Simone Biles, and LeBron James.
The BET Experience (BETX) will also return to Los Angeles from June 5–8, offering fans immersive activities including competitions, comedy shows, and parties .
