Lewandowski Wins German Player Of The Year Award 2019/2020

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski was casted a ballot Germany’s Footballer of the Year on Sunday.

The 31-year-old Pole was the runaway victor of the title granted by the football magazine Kicker, following a vote by writers.

Lewandowski got 276 votes, well in front of two different individuals from Bayern’s triple-winning crew: Thomas Muller (54 votes) and Joshua Kimmich (49).

“I’m pleased,” Lewandowski told Kicker. “Desires are getting increasingly elevated and consistently I attempt to outperform them.”

The striker amassed 55 objectives for Bayern, completing top scorer in each club rivalry in which he played. He hit 34 in the Bundesliga, 15 in the Champions League and six in the German Cup, as Bayern won each of the three.

He is a most loved for the world Player of the Year prize. FIFA has said it needs to make the honor regardless of the new coronavirus pandemic, yet a date has not yet been set.

“I can’t think about whatever other player who is more meriting than him to be named FIFA World Player of the Year,” said Bayern mentor Hansi Flick, who was named best German mentor in front of a year ago’s champ, Liverpool mentor Jurgen Klopp.
